Dr. Stephen Ansell of Mayo Clinic Recognized with the 2021 Ernest Beutler Lecture and Prize
IWMF Board Advisor and WM expert, Dr. Stephen Ansell, was recognized by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) for his work on understanding the tumor microenvironment in lymphoma and for developing treatment strategies that block inhibitory signals or deplete suppressive cells to eradicate cancer. WM Advances in Treatment with CureTalks Panel
The CureTalks panel speaks to Dr. Larry Anderson of UT Southwestern Medical Center and Dr. Rachid C. Baz of Moffitt Cancer Center on the current standard of care for WM, as well as novel agents currently being evaluated.
The video features a patient panel, which includes the IWMF Chair of the Board, Peter DeNardis, and Meg Mangin, IWMF Board Trustee & Facebook Group Moderator.

LLS Virtual Florida Blood Cancer Conference
February 12, 2022 from 9:30AM – 1:30PM U.S. ET
The South Florida and North Florida Regions of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) are proud to present this free VIRTUAL education event to blood cancer patients, survivors, family members, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Experts in the areas of blood cancer research, treatment, and survivorship will present information on each topic. The goal of this program is to educate conference participants about treatment options, emerging therapies, management of survivorship issues and LLS resources.

Peripheral Neuropathy Support Session
January 26th, 2022 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM U.S. ET
The IWMF Peripheral Neuropathy Planning Committee is excited to announce their next meeting in 2022! We will have a special guest speaker, Nancy Campbell, M.S, Clinical Exercise Physiologist!
Nancy Campbell is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in the Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Nancy provides personalized exercise consultations for patients through the Zakim Center. She also teaches several strength training based exercise classes for patients and survivors via Zoom. Nancy has been at Dana-Farber since 2005, is a certified ACE Personal Trainer and has the American College of Sports Medicine Cancer Exercise Trainer certification.
