RESEARCH

A Gift in Support of IWMF Research is an Investment in Your Future

This week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of Zanubrutinib for the treatment of Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia.

From IWMF Board Chair, Peter DeNardis:“The approval of Brukinsa in Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia, which is the second therapy approved specifically for the treatment of this rare type of lymphoma, is positive news for patients. Expanded treatment options offer new hope for those living with this disease and can potentially improve patient experience, especially oral therapies that can be given as a single agent.”

As you know, WM is a rare disease. While less than 10% of rare diseases have an FDA approved drug therapy, thanks in part to research funded by our community through the IWMF, there are now two FDA approved drug therapies for Waldenström macroglobulinemia!

The International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation is committed to advancing the search for a cure. We have identified new priority areas that need further research, but we need your help. You can support the work of the IWMF by making your contribution here:
