Join expressive arts therapist Dana Kuehn to explore the creative process! Expressive Arts is a compassionate and flexible approach to healing that blends various modalities like visual arts, movement, and music to foster self-discovery. This practice helps individuals, particularly those navigating cancer treatment, reconnect with themselves through the creative process rather than technical skill.

Try simple, guided exercises within the safe context of your WM community to experience the mindful, restorative, and emotional benefits of engaging in expressive arts.

What to bring:

  • Consider investing in a blank page journal, though sheets of any paper are just fine.

  • Whatever drawing implements you prefer to use; Dana recommends either Jupitearth Tempera Paint Sticks or Faber-Castell Gelato Pens for something fun and easy to use.

  • For those who don’t want to draw or paint, collage with magazine or any papers is always an option.

Bio: Dana Kuehn, M.S., LPC, LCMHC, is a breast cancer survivor and seasoned therapist. Dana holds a certification in Expressive Arts and has specialized training in Nature Therapy, blending her deep love of the arts and the natural world into her healing work. She has led transformative workshops and classes in diverse settings, including health spas, homeless shelters, colleges, and cancer support communities. Dana finds profound connection in facilitating the creative process with groups, and in quiet moments of stillness—like watching a butterfly gently land on a blossom—where spirit and presence come alive for her.
