A new team member joins IWMF

We are delighted to welcome Katie Warrensford as the new Chief Development Officer of the International Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia Foundation.

Katie’s Background

Katie is a dynamic nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of experience driving revenue growth and delivering measurable impact across mission-driven organizations. She has held senior leadership roles at both Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or LLS) and the American Heart Association, where she led large, matrixed teams and pioneered data-driven strategies that fueled organizational growth, improved volunteer engagement, and advanced key fundraising initiatives.

Throughout her career, Katie has been recognized for building strong, collaborative partnerships and empowering both teams and community stakeholders. At LLS, she established the organization’s first national volunteer engagement strategy, strengthening retention and expanding nationwide participation. She also revitalized national youth fundraising programs and modernized digital fundraising. At the American Heart Association, she led teams that achieved the most significant growth in the organization’s national campaign history.

Katie brings deep expertise in strategic leadership, major gifts, and stakeholder alignment, along with a reputation for innovative solutions and inclusive practices. Her commitment to measurable results and her passion for patient-centered missions make her an exceptional addition to our team.

Please join us in welcoming Katie to IWMF. We are excited for the leadership, vision, and impact she will bring as we continue to serve patients and families affected by WM worldwide.
