🗺️ Join the Journey!
Together, we are aiming to reach an ambitious goal of 25,000 miles in just 30 days—an average of 833 miles daily. We’re thrilled to report that we’re on track, but just like our health, we can’t take anything for granted. Every step counts, so be sure to log your distance and activities regularly!
❤️ Greatest Appreciation!
In our first week, over 270 participants collectively walked more than 4,000 miles! Our journey began at the International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation’s office in Sarasota, Florida, on Sunday, September 1, 2024. From there, we traveled across the Caribbean and into South America in the first few days. As of Sunday, September 8, 2024, we’re approaching Paris, France after landing in Europe!
Have you been able to check out the map yet? Seeing how far we’ve come and the global path we’re creating together is amazing. If you have not yet logged your distance or activities, you can still enter them through the end of September. Review the blue box below for helpful tips to track your distance and activities.
📷 Share Your Journey!
We’d love to see how you’re participating in the Walk for Waldenstrom’s! If you have any photos from your walks, please share them with us by sending your pictures to events@iwmf.com or posting them on social media using #WalkForWM. Your pictures and stories inspire us all and remind everyone that, while we may be miles apart, we’re walking together for a common cause.
🤝 Support the Cause!
In addition to raising awareness, our walk is also an important fundraising event. The funds we raise support vital research and patient programs, helping to improve the lives of those affected by Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia. Click here to learn more about fundraising for the Walk.
🏃♀️Let’s keep the momentum going and walk our way to 25,000 miles!
