Waldenstrom Unplugged: A New Podcast Bringing Expert Insight and Lived Experience to the WM Community
The IWMF is pleased to announce the launch of Waldenstrom Unplugged: Words Matter, a new podcast bringing together expert clinical insight and lived patient experience to make Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia (WM) clearer, less isolating, and easier to navigate.
Our Podcast Hosts Know the WM Landscape
Hosted by Professor Shirley D’Sa, a leading WM specialist at University College Hospital in London, and Bob Perry, a WM patient and advocate, the podcast offers an engaging and often lighthearted conversation about the realities of living with WM.
Shirley brings decades of clinical experience and a deep understanding of WM, while Bob brings the perspective of someone who has lived with the disease and supported others in the WM community. Together, they explore topics ranging from diagnosis and treatment to the language we use when talking about WM and the everyday experience of living with a rare cancer.
And while the conversations tackle serious and sometimes difficult subjects, listeners will also discover the genuine rapport, warmth, and humor that Shirley and Bob bring to their discussions.
New Episodes Every Month
New episodes of Waldenstrom Unplugged: Words Matter are released on the 15th of each month and are available through the major podcast platforms.
