Writing and Meditation Webinar- Cultivating Inner Wellbeing through
 Writing, Movement, and Meditation

Wednesday, March 27th

1:00PM -2:30PM

This wellness workshop fuses writing, body awareness, and meditation to enhance a feeling of inner wellbeing during challenging times, and is especially designed for those managing WM.  No experience is needed for the writing exercises which are tailored to help you gain new insight into your inner states. Working with breath and body lays the groundwork for self-awareness and a deepened sense of being in the body. Finally, mindfulness and other meditations help alleviate personal suffering, while cultivating compassion and equanimity.   Come prepared to write, stretch, meditate, ask questions, and share your experience with others (optional.)   Bio: Kimberley Snow, Ph.D., teacher, author, and workshop leader, taught writing at UCSB before she moved to study and work in a Tibetan retreat center in Northern California for six years. Her books include Writing Yourself Awake: Meditation and Creativity; the memoir In Buddha’s Kitchen: Cooking, Being Cooked and Other Adventures in a Retreat Center; Keys to the Open Gate: A Woman’s Spirituality Sourcebook; and Writing Yourself Home. Since returning to Santa Barbara, she’s led a wide range of workshops through La Casa de Maria, Mindful Hearts Programs, and Odiyana Institute, many of which combine writing and meditation. She was diagnosed with WM in 2012.   Co Host – Ann Grace MacMullan, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, is the IWMF’s Wellness Program Coordinator and yoga therapist. She has been joyfully sharing the gift of yoga since 2015, with a wide range of students of all mobility levels and ages. She especially enjoys providing tools to support cancer care and the aging process. Her father was diagnosed with WM in 2019.
