Spirituality and Cancer with David Maginley
Hosted by Gail Ferguson, WMFC
Atlantic Canada Support Group Leader
Research has shown that some form of spirituality can offer individuals coping with cancer more hope, meaning, peace, and a better quality of life. Join spiritual counselor and cancer survivor David Maginley to explore how healthy spirituality can improve coping and prognosis.
For 25 years, David Maginley has provided psychospiritual care for the cancer, palliative and intensive care units at a major Canadian hospital. Himself a 4-time survivor of a rare cancer, including a near-death experience, David knows what it’s like to have cancer from both sides of the hospital bed.
In this webinar, David will guide us in a discussion surrounding the nature of consciousness, and the connection of body, mind and spirit in living with cancer. We will also practice a short mindfulness meditation, and enjoy a 30 minute Q and A period with David.
