What is World Awareness Day?

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, we will campaign alongside our global partners and community to raise awareness, raise funds, and be counted as part the Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia (WM) global community.

Why is it important?

WM is a rare type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. Despite its rarity, WM affects an estimated 3.8 million people per year worldwide. That is why, on Waldenstrom’s World Awareness Day (WAD), we will be uniting globally in solidarity, support, and advocacy. Together, we can make a difference by raising awareness, fostering research, and providing comfort to individuals with WM and those who love, support, and care for them.

Who Can Participate?

We encourage the WM community to get involved, including people with WM, caregivers, friends, family members, patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and healthcare organizations.
