The two presentations by Dr. Treon regarding Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia are:

  • Part A: “Biology 101 of Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia,” which discusses MYD88 and CXCR4, and identifies two new clinical trials.
  • Part B: “Treatment 101 for Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia,” which covers current and future therapies, and includes information about a third clinical trial.

You can listen to Dr. Treon’s presentations and view his slides(link is external) by selecting each one under the session topic “Disease-Specific Programs” (scroll down and look for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia). Note: pay particular attention to Dr. Treon’s review of progress on the first slide of the first presentation – he provides further proof that we ARE progressing dramatically in the area of research and treatment for WM just over the past few years!

At the end of the second lecture you will be able to practice your diagnosis and treatment options assessment skills by listening to Dr. Treon and those in attendance review two WM patient cases and by comparing your decisions to those provided by Dr. Treon.

The IWMF extends its thanks to the Lymphoma Research Foundation for making these presentations available and to Dr. Treon for continuing to push the boundaries of knowledge about WM and its treatments.

The LRF provides educational webcast and podcast programs for people with lymphoma and their caregivers on specific types of lymphomas, treatment options, and patient support topics.
