Over the years, we’ve had the good fortune to receive inquiries from WMers eager to use their runs, bike rides, and even rowing endeavors to fundraise for the IWMF. We’re proud of, and grateful to, all the members who’ve taken it upon themselves to host fundraisers on behalf of our organization, and want to make it easier for others to do so, too.
The new fundraising tool utilizes Razoo, a nonprofit-run, nonprofit-oriented crowdfunding platform that allows anyone to set up and run their own fundraisers on behalf of an organization. It offers a secure system for managing donations, posting updates, and more. It’s a perfect place for our “team” to rally together and support one another, whether through donations (which may or may not be tax-deductible, depending on your country of origin) or simply words of encouragement and support for #Waldenfriends and family.
Check out our new fundraising page to learn more about Razoo and to launch your own fundraiser. Keep in mind: You can use it to manage a variety of events, so feel free to get creative if you have a great idea you’ve been itching to try!
Want to see a fundraiser in action? Our very own Peter DeNardis is running his SECOND 5k of the season – click the “Active Fundraisers” button at fundraise to see his page.
Again, thanks so much to all of you for being a part of this community! We’re so grateful for all of your efforts, and hope you’ll enjoy this improved option for following the efforts of other WMers and sharing your own feats!
