The IWMF’s exciting new alliance with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will make a difference by helping the IWMF raise awareness and by facilitating collaboration with other patient advocacy organizations.

Founded in 1907 by a small group of physicians and scientists, the AACR is the oldest and largest scientific organization in the world focused on every aspect of high-quality, innovative cancer research. Its mission is to prevent and cure cancer through research, education, communication, and collaboration. AACR actively publishes highly ranked peer-reviewed journals, convenes topical scientific conferences, and offers workshops, fellowships and grants to young investigators. AACR also publishes Cancer Today, a quarterly publication focusing on the latest advances in cancer research, personal stories of hope and general survivorship topics.

To read the quarterly issues of Cancer Today, IWMF patients and caregivers living in the U.S. can subscribe via a special subscription rate here(link is external). Those living outside the U.S. can subscribe here(link is external).  In addition, all IWMF members can subscribe to AACR’s free monthly newsletter here(link is external).
