On May 16-17, a joint IWMF/Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Strategic Research Roadmap Conference was held in New York City. Its purpose was to identify the gaps in our knowledge of WM and to strategize our research priorities so that we can fill those gaps, leading to the development of better treatments and. ultimately, a cure. The meeting was led by Dr. Lee Greenberger, the Chief Scientific Officer of LLS, and the scientific co-chairs were Dr. Steven Treon of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Dr. Stephen Ansell of Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Fourteen of the leading minds in WM research met to discuss four major areas in WM research, and identified five key needs going forward.
