Since 2000, as part of its commitment to furthering the advance of WM research, the IWMF has supported the biennial global International Workshops on Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (IWWM), which provide physicians, medical specialists, and researchers the opportunity to share their WM research findings and collaborate on methodologies. The IWMF will again support this year’s IWWM9 from October 6-8 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, coordinated this year by the Chairs of Drs. M.J. Kersten (University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands), Monique Minnema (University of Utrecht, the Netherlands), Steven T. Pals (University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands) and Steven Treon (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute).

Following the IWWM9 sessions, the IWMF will host the 2016 IWWM9/IWMF International Doctor-Patient Forum on October 9 from 9:30am to 5:00pm at the Koepelkerk Conference Hall at the Renaissance Hotel in Amsterdam(link is external), the Netherlands. The meeting will be conducted in English and is open to all WM patients and their caregivers. Refreshments and lunch will be served, and there is no fee to attend the meeting.

Since the Koepelkerk Conference Hall can only accommodate up to 300 people, REGISTRATION is mandatory, so please register at http://wmworkshop.org/patients(link is external) early to ensure that a place is reserved for you. Last minute registration will also be available at the door from 8:00am to 9:30am pending availability.
