Since WM is a rare disease, many community oncologists seldom see a WM patient. Increasing awareness and knowledge about WM among community oncologists has long been a goal of the IWMF. That is why we are proud to announce that the IWMF has teamed up with PleXus Communications to create accredited, live and online medical education courses on WM for MD’s.
PleXus Communications, a leading provider of continuing medical education (CME) for clinicians and other health care professionals, has created accredited live and online education courses on WM. The live continuing education courses implemented under this new collaboration will be held at hospitals across the US, ranging from California to Georgia and from New York to Nevada. The faculty for the courses is outstanding.
Each course will include introductory slides about the IWMF and each attendee will receive a copy of the IWMF’s WM FAQ brochure. All content in these courses has been created by PleXus Communications, and each course has been endorsed by the IWMF.
We are pleased to announce this initiative to equip health care professionals with the information they need to improve patient outcomes.
This activity has been supported by educational grants to PleXus from BeiGene and Pharmacyclics LLC (an AbbVie Company), and Janssen Biotech, Inc. (administered by Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC).
