During this live and interactive webinar, social workers and nurses in attendance obtain a better understanding of how to engage in scientific advocacy. This webinar will provide an overview of scientific advocacy, including tips for engaging in scientific advocacy and its importance in advancing cancer research. Attendees will also hear from an individual diagnosed with cancer and her experience with scientific advocacy, including her tips for how patients can start engaging in scientific advocacy.

This webinar will provide social workers, nurses, and other types of health care professionals with a foundation to help patients make decisions about how to engage in scientific advocacy and provide appropriate referrals. All attendees will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions in real-time via a chat box.
