Dr. Robert Kyle, Professor of Medicine and Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and noted international expert on WM, recently celebrated a landmark 52-year anniversary with a former patient – the longest surviving patient to receive a bone marrow transplant in the US. The event was reported in a TV news video and related report that can be found here.

Dr. Kyle is a noted international expert on monoclonal gammopathies, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia, and has served on the IWMF’s Scientific Advisory Committee and Board of Trustees for over a decade. He continues to perform research and provide guidance to fellow researchers and patients while enjoying life well into his 80s! The IWMF and the WM community are very fortunate to have such a noted WM expert, researcher, and clinician working on their behalf.
