PBS will air the three-part Ken Burns series, Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies, on March 30, 31, and April 1, from 9:00-11:00 PM EST (please check your local listings for the scheduled times in your area). The series is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee of Columbia University.
The book and the documentary present a comprehensive story of cancer that combines historical narrative with intimate stories of current-day patients, along with an investigation into the latest scientific breakthroughs.
