Cure Magazine’s special issue on Rare Cancers, published on August 1, 2018, includes an article entitled “Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia: The Discovery and What Lies Ahead”.

The article goes on to describe WM, its rarity, and recent advances in treatment options for patients.  It also provides a quick summary of the history of approved treatments for the disease, and includes comments from interviews with WM patients (Pete DeNardis and Marcia Klepac) and noted researchers (Dr. Judith Trotman, Dr. Stephen Ansell. and Dr. Steven Treon).

Cure magazine, launched in 2002 for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers, has become the largest consumer magazine in the United States focused entirely on cancer.  With a circulation of 285,000, individual subscribers account for over 170,000 of that figure, with the remainder going to cancer centers and advocacy groups around the country.
