On August 28th, people from around the world will join together to raise awareness and support for Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia. No matter if you are a patient or caregiver, friend or family member, the IWMF and WM community invite you to join us for the Walk for Waldenstrom’s.
What is the Walk for Waldenstrom’s?
The Walk for Waldenstrom’s is a virtual 5k run/walk which will take place the morning of August 28th during the 2020 IWMF Virtual Educational Forum. There is no registration fee or cost to attend. Leading up to the Walk for Waldenstrom’s, you will create your very own fundraising page, and reach out to your friends and family for support. The funds raised during the Walk for Waldenstrom’s will make a very real difference to WM community members around the globe – these funds will support vital research into WM, the creation of IWMF publications and literature, and they will help the IWMF continue to offer free resources and materials to all those affected by WM.
In recognition and appreciation for your participation in The Walk , The IWMF will offer the following:
Support the vital work of the IWMF while helping to send yourself or someone you care about to a future IWMF Educational Forum for FREE!
What is a “virtual” walk?
Have you ever wanted to take a tour of Sicily? When was the last time you walked around the Grand Canyon … or the moon? The IWMF is here to help — during this year’s Walk for Waldenstrom’s you can walk around a local park, or your neighborhood, or check out one of several virtual reality walking tours from the comfort of your own home.
