Ali Handal, a professional singer-songwriter, guitarist, and author, whose songs have been featured in numerous films and hit shows like Sex and the City and Dawson’s Creek, captivated the audience at the 2016 IWMF Ed Forum with stories of what she’s learned thus far in her journey with WM, and shared a set of her original music, each song being of special significance for anyone facing similar challenges. It was an inspirational, enjoyable evening for all!

Her set list included the following original songs:

  1. Let Go (Ali reflects on how cancer affected her and how she faces it.)
  2. It’s Up to Me (Attitude is important in your quality of life – you’re responsible for making yourself happy.)
  3. Breathing Underwater (In life, it’s important to face your challenges with acceptance and grace.)
  4. You Get What You Settle For (In relationships and in life, you get what you settle for – take steps to be happier with where you’re at.)
